this n that

Ellia's playdate. This darling little girly was born just 4 days before Ellia, and I hope they will be great friends!

I love this picture of Addilyn! It captures her little personality perfectly!

Janie ADORES her little sister! She always wants to hold her and play with her. It's good and bad, but either way I'm grateful for the occasional break I get!

Oh to have a yard (sigh). Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us run through your sprinklers on these miserably hot days!

Okay, I know this may not seem like a big accomplishment, but I am so proud of my first sewing project since TLC in 7th grade. I made the girls some princess capes. They turned out really cute, and the girls love them.

There is also a side note that goes with this picture. See the big sore going from Addilyn's nose to her lip? Yes, she went to the dentist and hated feeling numb, and so she just kept rubbing and scratching her face. Can you believe what happened just from her rubbing her nose? Poor thing.

Marsha and I at the midnight showing of Harry Potter. Not the best picture of me, but the other girls who came with us made me promise I wouldn't put the pictures on the blog...LAME!

Ellia and Aunt Jill. For some reason, Ellia loves her Aunt Jill. They are kindred spirits...maybe it's the red hair! :)

Addilyn turns 3!

Happy Birthday Addi girl. We love you SO much. You are such a fun girl.
Addi through the years!

Real Conversation:
Wade: Addi, would you like to go camping, or go to Chuckee Cheese for your birthday?
Addi: I want to go camping! (we have trained her well!)

Here are some pictures of our camping trip (Maple Canyon).

And here are some pictures after we got home. Addi wanted a Dora birthday cake this year. Notice Swiper is swiping a candle! :) Her main gift was her bike (much to Janie's dismay - she was SO jealous (our video footage of her is almost better than the birthday girls)), but her favorite gift was a little Dora doll that I picked up from D.I. for 50 cents! How funny is that! Just a side note: it is really hard to get a decent smile out of Addi these days. Any suggestions?

Sunday Spectacle!

Just to document...last Sunday we are about to take the sacrament (water), and Addi decides she wants to hold the tray. Wade tries to help her hold the tray. "No, I want to hold it by myself!" she says. Wade tries to tell her kindly that she can't hold it by herself. She gets progressively madder and LOUDER. Finally, Wade takes the tray away from her and hands her a cup of water. She throws the water on the ground screaming, "I don't want it." Wade decides it's time to take her out. At this point she begins to scream repeatedly, at the top of her lungs, "I hate my Daddy, I hate my Daddy..." How embarrassing! I look up at the bishopric. Both counselors are trying hard not to laugh! I guess they can smile because they've been there. Oh the joys! :) We love our little Addi girl so much, but she has been so challenging lately! The thing about Addi is that she's SO tender hearted. She gives the best hugs and says cute, nice things all of the time. But when she's naughty she is SO naughty (and hard). We're hoping it's just a phase!
