Do you see how perfect our tree is? Yes...that's because it's a fake. Wade was determined to buy a fake tree this year. In part because his dad wasn't around to go get a tree with him, and in part because we spent the last 2 weeks of December in Sandy. I have very mixed emotions about the fake tree. I love and hate it at the same time.
Annual ugly sweater party. It was excellent, and Wade won the ugly sweater award. Well deserved, as you can see.
As soon as we arrived in Sandy some of the family went to Temple Square to see the lights. Addi and Kate stayed home with me because they were sick.
Wade took the kids sledding on Christmas Eve. Once again, I stayed inside with Kate. I hate this cold weather. I am absolutely NO FUN!!
Let's be honest...I'd rather be inside playing games.
The Christmas Eve festivities were at Mom and Dad's house. I was so happy. There were other available houses with more room, but I prefer the jam packed tradition. 7 of the 10 kids were there along with their families. It was a glorious madhouse!
I got to read A Christmas Dress for Ellen. I love that story.
I have been wanting to make one of these for years! I replaced the original faces with pictures of our family. Turns out, it was a hit. The grandkids loved playing it.
And of course, the singing around the piano.
Look at cute Jilly. She's about to pop. Just a few weeks to go! We were glad Jill and Todd stayed the night too and spent Christmas morning with us.
I sported the SUPER SEXY jammies Wade bought me last year.
Wade and I woke up at the break of dawn just waiting for our kids to wake up. We couldn't sleep - too excited. Finally the girls woke up, and found Christmas waiting for them.
Our UNO girl!
One of the best things about Christmas Morning was watching this little girl go up and down her slide over and over and over. See that ginormous stocking? We accidentally left ours home. My mom had enough for everyone but me. Wade took the liberty of buying me a stocking. Turns out I was a REALLY good girl this year.
Janie with her RIPSTIK!
And Ellia was VERY happy about her new Mekenna doll. She has played and played and played with that thing!
Playing a new game we got for Christmas.
On the day of New Years Eve my sister in law hooked us up with some free passes to Hollywood Connection. The girls LOVED it...it looked pretty run down to me, but the girls didn't seem to mind. :)
We had a great Christmas. It was probably the last Christmas/Christmas Eve I will ever get to spend at my parents house again. It brought back many wonderful memories, and I savored the time I got to spend with my parents and brothers and sisters. I love my family. A big thanks to Mom and Dad for everything, and thanks goes to Wade of course, for putting up with it all!
