Recent Adventures

There is a reason moms and dads tell their kids not to run with things in their mouths.  Some kids just have to learn the hard way...this one (Ellia) almost always has to learn the hard way.  My dear accident prone girl was running around with a toothbrush in her mouth and fell down.  At first we didn't think it was too bad, but she started spitting out a bunch of blood.  Once the bleeding stopped we looked in her mouth and discovered she had a hole through her soft palate.  The next morning we took her to the hospital and she got two stitches.  It was a rough couple of days.  I was so nervous there was going to be internal damage I couldn't sleep (and she was pretty miserable too).  Dang kids!

She healed quickly and it didn't take her long to get back to normal!
This is more like the little girl we love so much!

Wade and some of his friends hiked Orderville canyon the last weekend of September.   While he was gone I went to the General Relief Society meeting with my mom and sisters.

We have been playing in leaves.  I love these September and October days!

THE ANNUAL HARDY HALLOWEEN PARTY!

I don't think we will ever be able to top last year's Despicable Me costumes...but I think I may have enjoyed seeing Wade as Nacho even more than Wade as Gru.  There's just something about a man in stretchy pants!

Last minute we decided to go to Zion for UEA break.  We had a great time.  So many people did double takes at our family.  All weekend long we heard, "Are all those yours?" "Wow!  Four girls?"  They couldn't believe we had four children.  I am so grateful for each one, and wouldn't want it any other way.

They loved riding the shuttle bus.

Well...Kate didn't love it, but at least she's smiling for the picture.

We did a few small hikes.  We hiked to the Emerald Pools,

and Weeping Rock the first day.

That's about all they could handle.

The next day we hiked the little river walk to the bottom of The Narrows.

It was sad to leave...and as always I am amazed at the beauty that surrounds.  We live just hours away from 5 National Parks.  I feel lucky that I get to enjoy them.

September Weekends.

Labor Day Weekend =
The Brigham City Temple Open House

Fun With Our Cousins

A visit back to our very first home.  Wow.  Where has the time gone?

Camping up Logan Canyon...and launching homemade rockets

and a hike to Bloomington Lake!
Labor Day weekend = Good times and memories.

And here is a picture of Kate...because she's cute!

And guess who's home from their mission?  Mom and Dad.  Happiness!!  We planned Janie's baptism a little while after her birthday because we wanted Grandma and Grandpa to be there.  It was well worth the wait.  Here's the handsome Dad playing our piano...Did I mention we bought a piano a couple of months ago?

Despite my efforts to get Wade to wear regular white pants and a shirt, he would not pass up the opportunity to wear the jumpsuit!  Oh goodness, how I love these two.  Seeing my nice man baptize my biggest girl was a sweet experience I will never forget.

A lot of our family came to the baptism.  We love them and are so glad they came.

It was especially fantastic to have MY grandma with us.  One of the 4 generation pictures we took.

AND last weekend we went to one of my favorite places on earth...
LAKE POWELL!
The sand,

The water,

The water sports!!
What more can you ask for?  Check out Janie...her first time wake-boarding.  She popped right out of the water like she was born to do it!

And this girl is our little fish.  She lived in that water.

After two days we were sunburned, dry, tired, and happy.
Even happier after having a slice of ho-made pie on the drive home.
(Wade wanted to get a picture of all of the girls standing in front of this sign.  I told him, "No.  Our little girls are not standing in front of a sign with a scantily clad girl and the word ho on it."  "Okay.  Will you stand there then?"  Was  his response.  As you can see...I agreed.)

Back To The Grind

We did in fact have a summer...though it flew by so quickly it feels like I missed it.  Good thing I have some documentation.
The 4th of July parade and festivities.  We missed having family with us this year.

Wade and his brother Greg hiked Timpanogos

We went camping with friends.

Celebrated 9 years of marital bliss - on a date night to see Wicked (It was awesome!)

Wade ran in the Epic Relay.

This little girl celebrated her 1st birthday

right beside her older sister...who celebrated her 8th birthday.
We were so happy to have our cousins visiting.

To celebrate Janie's 8th birthday we did a movie night in the backyard.
Look at all these girls!

The girls didn't actually get birthday cake until a couple of weeks later.
But they didn't seem to mind much.

Addi lost her first top tooth (the day before the first day of school)

The girls were so excited for their first day of school.  I can't believe how my little girls are growing up.    I feel really old.  Two of my girls are gone all day.  It's weird.

The last few weeks have been crazy busy.  We are exhausted, but happy.

I love my little family.  They are everything to me.
